Thread spacers and a charm onto a giant jump ring. This helps the spacing of the finished piece. You can use small jump rings as spacers too.

attach your charms to the chain

attach your charms to the chain

Attach the jump ring directly onto the chain like this. Push the ends gently together with your pliers. Make sure that the ends are carefully aligned.

attach your charms to the chain

attach your charms to the chain

Attach charms directly to the chain by using an oval jump ring these are stronger than the round ones.We use them in most of our designs. Open the jump ring by inserting the end of a pair of round nosed pliers and gently pushing them open. This way you don't twist the ring. Close it by squeezing it together with the chain nosed pliers.
