![]() Getting startedDecide which components you want to use. Lay them out on a surface such as a bead mat where they won't all roll away. Think about the design of your charms. Which beads will combine best, what spacers will you use. This necklace is available as a kit, ready for you to make. |
![]() Make your Charms
|
![]() Making a CharmThread the bead onto a headpin, cut off the spare pin to leave about 8mm bend it back slightly as shown right............ |
![]() Turn the loop............and then using the round nosed pliers make a neat loop using the whole of the protruding pin. |
![]() Use a Giant Jump RingThread spacers and a charm onto a giant jump ring. This helps the spacing of the finished piece. You can use small jump rings as spacers too. |
![]() attach your charms to the chainAttach the jump ring directly onto the chain like this. Push the ends gently together with your pliers. Make sure that the ends are carefully aligned. |
![]() attach your charms to the chainAttach charms directly to the chain by using an oval jump ring these are stronger than the round ones.We use them in most of our designs. Open the jump ring by inserting the end of a pair of round nosed pliers and gently pushing them open. This way you don't twist the ring. Close it by squeezing it together with the chain nosed pliers. |
![]() Ready to Wear Long or ShortContinue making charms and attaching them until you are totally happy with the finished look. Attach the clasp to the end of the chain using oval jump rings. |
