We’ve used the lightweight silver spirit beads along with large acrylic and wooden beads for a rich  colourmix.

This is an easy project with which to start learning to make jewellery. All you need are basic jewellery making pliers, or crimpers if you prefer a fancier finish.

New Charm Necklace Kit in Vintage Gold

June 6th, 2010

If  an accessory  is not big and beady this year it has to be pretty and vintage.  So we have come up with this lovely antique gold necklace kit, laden with little charms and finished with millifiore beads to decorate the chain.

Make something similar using the  antique gold figaro chain and a collection of lightweight charms and beads mixed with stampings.

Make a Kilt Pin with all your odd beads & findings

June 5th, 2010

Here is a neat way to use up all your bead odds and ends.  Make a pretty beaded  kilt pin! You can mix and match your beads as long as you do it with style.

Bluestreak-Kilt-3We made one using some of our huge collection of beads witha pretty bohemian feel. It looked good pinned on a fabric bag or try it on a denim jacket.
We used large trace chain which you can buy by the metre and mixed in glass and crystal beads with a few cloissonne ones and some filigree stampings.
There is a shell heart bead in there too and even a little seahorse pendant.
I’ll put this on bluestreakbeads.co.uk as a kit very soon.

Rose Beaded Bracelet ~ Making Jewellery with Pandora Beads

February 8th, 2010
Rose Pandora Style Bracelet

Rose Pandora Style Bracelet

It has to be the easiest way to make jewellery but don’t knock it, the simplicity of a Pandora style bead bracelet means that you can take it to bits and change the look in a heartbeat. Add a few extra beads or a different charm to the snake bracelet, or take off the beads and use them for a necklace  for a couple of days.

For the bracelet pictured, I have made charms out of Venetian Glass hearts, and little silver plated lockets, to give a twist of originality to my jewellery making.

Many more Pandora style jewellery kits are to be found at Bluestreak Beads
