Jewellery making: Linked EarringsUsing a link in a long earring gives it movement and balance. We show you how right here.
1. You will need beads, eyepins, headpins, earwires and a set of tools. including round nosed pliers Link1

2. These linked earrings are made from freshwater pearls but any beads can be used. We used sterling silver findings. Link2

3. Thread a pearl onto a headpin followed by a tiny sterling silver disc, bend the pin back a bit ..... Link3

4. .....and then holding the beads firmly with your thumb to keep them from riding up, roll the end of the pin over with the round nosed pliers to form a loop. Link4

5.... Open the loop on an eyepin and thread on the piece that you have just made. Close the loop with your pliers. Link5

6. Thread on the silver pearl and a silver disc. Trim the pin as before. Link6
7. Make another loop in the top of the eyepin just like before.

8. Open the loop at the bottom of the earwire and thread on your linked earring as shown above. Link7
